The Happiness Factor
“Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life,
the whole aim and end of human existence.” - Aristole
If you have read my book, The Secret to Your Future History, you will already know that the first key in the seven-step process I outline is Happiness.
As a Mind Coach, I am interested in how and why people create beliefs about their life that are often limiting and limited.
One of the main reasons people don't find success and happiness in their life or their work is because they don't believe they truly deserve it!.
It can be argued that everything we do, every strive to achieve, is underpinned by the desire to be happy and live a happy life. So, if the above comment is true, then, i could well be that we believe that we don't truly deserve to be happy!
During my thirty or so years in education and helping people, it has become apparent that "happiness", the thing that gives meaning to life, is something that has become more and more elusive.
In many ways, the things we believe make us happy are the very things that stop us from being happy.
We become attached to the things that create the illusion of happiness and seem to ignore the simple things that we can do to achieve happiness.
With the advent of a discipline known as Positive Psychology, there has been a real push towards studying the human feeling of "happiness" and how happy people do what they do to be happy.
Whether you are ready to hear this or not, there are some very simple practical things you can do to bring happiness into your life. The key word here is 'simple'
Why would you not be ready to 'hear' about these simple things?
Possibly, because when you've been feeling bad about yourself, your life and your experiences, it's very difficult to accept that the solution can be simple.
